NARBONNE - LANGUEDOC

Following in the footsteps of their ancestors, Audrey and Camille (twin sisters) inherited the family estate from their parents, the late Jean Charles and Catherine, who is still a guiding presence for the project. As they push this 10th generation towards organic certification the wines have never been better. Camille is an oenologist and winemaker with international experience crafting linear, fresh, direct juice that astounds at each price point. Their pure Chardonnay is one such bargain that is both expressive, racy and lightly textured.

THE WINES

Domaine Lalaurie ‘Selection’ IGP Pays d’Oc Chardonnay

Another beautiful, bright wine from the brilliant twins, Audrey and Camille, who are the tenth generation of Domaine Lalaurie. Farming with great care for their ancestors land, their wines shine with purity, freshness. This Chardonnay is unoaked but does not lack texture. Camille coaxes everything out of her fruit with great skill and delicacy; stone fruit, pure floral aromatics and a texture rare at this price point.

Rivage Blanc IGP Coteaux de Narbonne (Sauvignon Blanc, Ugni Blanc)

A delicate, fresh and mineral wine from twin sisters Camille and Audrey, Rivage Blanc is racy and driven by Sauvignon Blanc, in a restrained European style. Floral citrus mingles with grapefruit juice and a very fine cut of refreshing acidity. This is a great example of Camille's clever, frank wine making style.

‘l’Artiste’ Rosé (Cinsault, Grenache, Cabernet)

Super value from Domaine Lalaurie. Camille and Audrey are the 10th generation to farm this land. Light-bodied, focused and fresh (typical of Camille's winemaking), the wine is all little strawberries and prettiness.

L’Orage Rouge IGP Pays d’Oc (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah)

This is an astoundingly high quality, light/mid weight red from southern France. 'The Storm' is redolent with bright red cherry and cassis nuance, finishing with a lick of texture and pretty aromatics. Brilliant price:quality ratio going on here!
